The Asian Civil Engineering Coordinating Council (ACECC) is a federation of national civil engineering institutions from across Asia and the Pacific. Its member bodies collaborate through joint Technical Committees covering areas such as disaster risk reduction, sustainable infrastructure, engineering education, and megacity development, sharing research and practice across borders.
ACECC does not replace its member institutions' own professional activities at home; rather it gives them a shared forum for regional cooperation, joint conferences, and coordinated technical guidance on cross-border engineering challenges.
Each Executive Committee Meeting (ECM) brings the Council's leadership and member-body delegates together to review the previous year's Technical Committee work, approve the Council's forward programme, and decide on the venue and themes for upcoming joint conferences. ECMs rotate between member countries, giving the host institution the opportunity to showcase local engineering practice to the wider region.
ECM-52 is hosted by ICE India in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, running 8–10 April 2027.
ICE India represents Indian civil engineering practice within ACECC's network of member bodies, participating in the Council's Technical Committees and joint regional conferences. Hosting ECM-52 continues that engagement, bringing the Council's Executive Committee to India for the first time in Gujarat.
